Last night, after talking to my brother (who is going and wanted me to come join him and his family), I decided to go to the Grey Cup. I was hoping to surprise my brother at his hotel, plus I had spoken to Myk about surprising people at the Snow Bowl.

But, that meant cancelling this weekend's visit with my son. After a sleepless night of regret, I changed my mind and decided to stay for my son's visit because he's my priority and it's the right thing to do.

This was not easy. A lot of mental anguish. I want to be in Calgary very badly, but not at the price of time with my son.

Unless they change the weekend of Grey Cup, I'll probably be with him for a lot of them in the future.

100% the correct decision. The Riders will be at GC again ... your son will be your son only once. Have your own Grey Cup Party with him.

Green balloons, some pop and lots of munchies will go a long way.

You've always had my respect Wolfman... and you continue to earn it with moves like this.

You'll be missed, but we'll raise a glass for you.

Without a doubt, the right decision Jim (unless you can take your son with you  ;) ).

We'll hoist a drink in your honour.

Thanks, guys. You better have more than just one! I know I would if I was there!

It's tough because it's family on both sides of the coin. How often do you see your team in a Grey Cup as a Rider fan? How often do you get to see the Riders in the Grey Cup with your brother?

I'll have fun with my little boy...starting in about 26 1/2 hours. We'll play football, which means I sit on the floor and he takes a 10 foot run at me. Or, I'll lay on my back, throw the ball up and he intercepts it. Or, we pull out the CFL Board Game and play that.

Maybe I'll replay the Western Final and he can enjoy that.

Adding a note.

I had the Snow Bowl trophy in preparation to send to Myk. Damien came home for a visit and saw it. He thought it was a great looking trophy!

Saskfan In Winnipeg,

The trophy is brilliant!

We recruited some awesome CFL Fan Legends tonight for the Snow Bowl including Argoholic and I hope/believe GITC.

Myk, good chatting with you yesterday. Thanks very much for the invite but it looks like I'm going to have to decline. I'm getting together with family...

Go Riders all good.

The West won the Snow Bowl 39 to 28 We had approx 16 player on each team so plenty of players.

Personally I luved it that it snowed on Friday night making it definitly a Snow Bowl. It was slippery even with me footy boots on but alot of fun.

Darwin the QB of the West was the Snowman. A great job by the ref a well. Lots of TotalCFL TV of the Snow Bowl coming this week. Thank for everyone playing, helping and coming to watch.

Was it Darwin "Pauz" Gooding? If it was him, he won the Snowman previously, which makes him the first two-time winner, I believe.

Saskfan In Winnipeg,

Yes thats him. He contacted me about 2 days before the game on email.

I wanted to get as many past Snow Bowl players as I could to play and we had a few so that was nice.
